Recreation & Wellbeing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is excited to host the 2024 Big Ten Collegiate Recreation Conference. The conference will be held on-campus at the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center and the Nicholas Recreation Center.
Join us May 20 – 22 in Madison, WI to learn from and network with Big Ten colleagues as well as experts in fitness, facilities and operations management, program implementation, sports management, and more. You can also gain insights on emerging trends, best practices, and lessons learned.

Wisconsin Experience at Devil’s Lake and Balanced Rock Winery

Experience WI’s most popular state park Devil’s Lake as you explore the trails and take in the magnificent views from bluffs over looking a 360-acre lake. After your hike, you’ll relax at Balanced Rock Winery and enjoy their tasting room and wine making facility.
Golf Outing at Nakoma Golf Club
Time: 11am – 4:30pm (shotgun start)

Nakoma Golf Club offers a golfing experience unlike any other in the Madison area. The fun yet challenging 18-hole golf course will test players of all abilities. Players will compete in a four-person scramble along with the opportunity to win individual hole prizes.
UW-Madison Athletics and Recreation Facilities Tour
Time: 12:30 – 4:30pm
Cost: Free
Capacity: 50
Transportation: Starts on campus (walking distance from hotel). Bus during tour and back to hotel provided by EGYM.
This tour will explore several major UW Athletics facilities including the Kohl Center (home to UW men’s & women’s basketball teams and men’s hockey) and the LaBahn Arena (home to UW women’s hockey along with the men’s hockey and swimming & diving locker and team rooms). In addition, you’ll visit Nielsen Tennis Stadium, one of Rec Well’s three major recreational facilities, featuring 12 indoor tennis courts and two squash courts.

Develop your leadership skills and join us on the ropes course challenge course. In this session, you’ll get a taste of Rec Well experiential education in a team building workshop that incorporates initiatives, problem solving activities, and reflection through active learning in a high and low ropes course experience.
5:30 – 6pm – Transportation to Welcome Reception & Dinner

Shuttles depart each hotel (Hilton and Hampton) at 5:30pm and return at approximately 6pm. Last shuttle leaves at 6:15pm for Camp Randall.
