The Director of Marketing & Communications, Health and Wellbeing, will lead communications for the health and wellbeing theme area within Student Affairs, which is comprised of University Health Services (UHS) and University Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well). The health and wellbeing theme area is focused on connecting all students to primary prevention programming, world-class recreation and wellbeing, and evidence-based practices to support their overall health and wellbeing.

Coordinator of Aquatics
The Coordinator of Aquatics is a full-time staff employee under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Aquatics. They are responsible for the maintenance and operation of aquatic programing, aquatic event, and safety equipment at Soderholm Family Aquatic Center (Soderholm), Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center (Bakke) pool and Memorial Union Swim Pier. They will provide leadership by creating and managing an aquatic student maintenance team, event operations, equipment inventories, and budget planning. Additionally, this position will directly oversee the pool operations and upkeep at the Bakke pool, as well as provide support at Soderholm as needed. This individual works directly with professional staff, and student staff to coordinate job duties, independently assess problems, and develop solutions.
Primary hours will be Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm, with the understanding that nights and/or weekends will be required.

Early Morning Fitness Instructor
This position will be responsible for preparing and teaching an exercise program for active senior women ages 40-85+ at the Lathrop Hall for 5-7 hours a week. The program meets 6:40-7:40 am M-F for dance aerobics, strength, and flexibility classes.

This position participates in the delivery of custodial services for Recreation & Wellbeing’s facility services department, provides for the care and cleaning of the division’s facilities and equipment, and ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
Cleans facilities, removes waste and recycling, and monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
- 20% Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
- 20% Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
- 20% Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
- 20% Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
- 20% Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
- Provide 30, 60, or 90-minute massages to members by appointment
- Guide members through service offerings and determine which massage would benefit them the most
- Evaluate members to determine general needs, pain areas or stressed parts of their body
