Assistant Director of Member Services
Recreation & Wellbeing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a dynamic, energetic, goal oriented, and innovative leader within the field of higher education and collegiate recreation. The Assistant Director of Member Services is a full-time employee under the direct supervision of the Director of Member Engagement. They will manage the member services program including staffing, membership sales, locker rentals, merchandise, and customer inquiries, and will supervise two Coordinators of Member Services, up to two professional interns, and approximately 150 part-time student employees.
They are directly responsible for the oversight of member services across the Nicholas Recreation Center and the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center. They will oversee all of the hiring, training, and development of member services student employees. They are responsible for the creation and oversight of the member services budget, for the review and development of policies impacting member services, and for the cultivation of relationships within the division and across campus with a focus on enhancing student and member experiences. They will work to engage the greatest number of students as possible with Rec Well, while also pursuing opportunities to attract and keep more than 3,000 non-student members. They are directly responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and day-to-day functionality of our comprehensive campus recreation software (Innosoft Fusion), and also of access control within our facilities. They will work directly with professional and student staff to plan and coordinate activities, assess problems, and develop solutions.

Athletic Trainer
The Athletic Trainer will provide high-quality healthcare services to all UW-Madison students, with a focus on supporting sport programs offered through University Recreation and Wellbeing (Rec Well). This includes injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for students participating in club sports and intramural activities.
In addition to direct patient care, this position will play a key role in organizing and overseeing an effective student observation program, helping to mentor and educate future athletic trainers. The Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with the Athletic Trainer for Sport Programs, ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage and promoting student-athlete well-being. This position is supervised by the Assistant Director of Athletic Training. As a valued member of the Rec Well Staff, the Athletic Trainer will actively contribute to department initiatives and serve on committees as needed.
This is an on-going full-time Athletic Trainer position that is expected to work during the academic year (mid-August through mid-May) and have summers off. Actual work schedule will be determined upon hire. This position is benefits and leave eligible. Paid time off will be pro-rated based on hours worked. Benefits coverage, such as health insurance, can be continued during the summer months, if desired.

Custodian
Custodians at Recreation & Wellbeing are the guardians of our facilities and are key in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces. This position participates in the delivery of custodial services for Recreation & Wellbeing’s facility services department, provides for the care and cleaning of the division’s facilities and equipment, and ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas. Schedule consists of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and event coverage.
