Custodian
Custodians at Recreation & Wellbeing are the guardians of our facilities and are key in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces. This position participates in the delivery of custodial services for Recreation & Wellbeing’s facility services department, provides for the care and cleaning of the division’s facilities and equipment, and ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas. Schedule consists of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and event coverage.

Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) is ready to hire a self-motivated Grounds & Facility Technician with a passion for working in outdoors grounds maintenance with a variety of tasks in different settings and a wide range of possibilities. We are looking for a mechanically inclined team member and offer on-the-job training for those willing to learn and expand their skill set. Working at Rec Well facilities provides a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. This entry-level position is a unique opportunity to start a career at a top-tier university and acquire new skills, including basic building repairs, outdoor field maintenance, and light mechanical work.
Coordinator of Graphic Design
Rec Well seeks a creative, innovative, and detail-oriented individual to join our Marketing & Communications team. This role will have an opportunity to create innovative marketing solutions that meld both written and visual components across multiple platforms. Along with departments and cross-functional teams, you’ll apply the creative process to deliver on project objectives and demonstrate strong creativity, visual awareness, attention to detail, and commitment to brand consistency in all assignments. Our state-of-the-art facilities and programs provide space for physical activity and wellbeing services to support the holistic health and wellbeing of UW-Madison students, the campus, and the greater Madison community. You will play a key role in creating visual marketing and communications content that communicates Rec Well’s mission, vision, and goals.

Assistant Director of Community Programs
The Assistant Director of Community Programs is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of a robust portfolio of programs for youth and adults: American Red Cross Courses, swim lessons, ice skating lessons, self-defense, and youth programs including a 9-week summer camp program service 160 campers per week.
The Assistant Director of Community Programs will serve as a key leader within the Programs Team reporting to the Associate Director of Programs. Responsibilities include holistic supervision of one full-time staff member and indirect supervision of 100 student employees. The role includes managing budgeting and purchasing for the community programs department with an entrepreneurial mindset. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Community Programs will lead program development, assessment, and compliance with campus, state, and Federal laws to create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
