Diversity & Inclusion Director

Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Student Affairs for Health & Wellbeing, the Diversity and Inclusion Director for Health and well-being will partner with University Health Services and Recreation and well-being stakeholders to advance the health and well-being theme areas of inclusion, equity, and diversity (IED) IED strategic plan; develop strategies to build greater diversity among the staff, and increase staff retention and engagement; and provide expert consultation, resources, programs, and initiatives that improve climate and both educate and promote inclusion, equity, and diversity as core values of Student Affairs; and manage diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice related training and programs. This position has the potential to supervise direct reports.

The inaugural D&I Director will prioritize and champion IED to bring about the change necessary to create and maintain an anti-racist organization. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, results-oriented individual who has successful experience leading IED initiatives and driving organizational change in a complex environment with multiple constituencies. Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree, subject matter expertise in IED, and 2 years of relevant experience.

Senior Associate Director of Strategic Planning & Programs

The Senior Associate Director of Strategic Planning & Programs is a full-time employee under the direct supervision of the Director of University Recreation & Wellbeing. This role is a key decision maker, both in long-range strategic planning, assessment strategies, and the allocation of resources for the organization. This position provides leadership to two Associate Directors who have oversight of the Wellbeing, Nutrition Education, Athletic Training, Intramural Sports, Fitness, Experiential Education, and Inclusion, Clubs & Community Programs departments which comprise most major programming and service areas within the Division.

Pool Operator

The Pool Operator with Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) is responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep of pool chemistry and mechanical systems. This position is primarily responsible for the Bakke Recreation Center Cove Pool and will provide support at the Nicholas Recreation Center – Soderholm Family Aquatic Center. This role is vital to ensure the safe and healthy operation of Rec Well aquatic facilities, and to provide clean and well-maintained aquatic spaces on campus.

Custodian

Custodians at Recreation & Wellbeing are the guardians of our facilities and are key in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces. This position participates in the delivery of custodial services for Recreation & Wellbeing’s facility services department, provides for the care and cleaning of the division’s facilities and equipment, and ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas. Schedule consists of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and event coverage.
