Wolf Teaching Kitchen FAQs

How do I make a reservation?
All food events must complete the Rec Well reservation request at least six weeks in advance of the desired event date. Some rentals may also need to fill out the Temporary Food Event Permit form. At a minimum, fees for renting the kitchen include an hourly room rate and at least one hourly staff rate. Due to high demand for programming, availability for kitchen rental space is extremely limited. We are currently booked for the rest of the semester, only events occurring after July 1, 2024 will be considered.
What health and safety policies must be followed?
- Kitchen staff have authority to make decisions about food preparation during an event if potential risk becomes apparent.
- Participants must follow safe food practices as directed by kitchen staff.
- Groups that violate policies of kitchen are subject to losing privilege of using the kitchen in the future
What type of events can be held in the kitchen?
We accept requests for UW-Madison student groups, and UW-Madison University departments. Requests must be for participants 18 years or older.
