Hi Active Badgers! My name is Corrine Pruett and I am one of the Assistant Directors of Operations with Rec Well. This blog is to inform our members of some impacts to our fitness spaces at The Nick. You may have seen the announcement in our last newsletter but I wanted to share some additional information.
What’s Happening?
We are getting new equipment! Our equipment at The Nick gets a ton of use. We monitor the usage of each unit of cardio equipment and believe it or not, the majority of it is up for replacement.

Our goal is to minimize the impact as much as we can. As you can imagine, there are a lot of moving pieces when it comes to coordinating this large of a project. Additionally, finding a time that works for everyone is near impossible. July was chosen as it historically has less visits per day.
We will be opening areas as quickly as possible but our number one priority is to keep everyone safe. If you want the least disruption to your workout routine we are encouraging people to use Bakke during this time. We will be updating the Daily Schedules on our website as well. We appreciate your understanding, patience and flexibility. We are so excited for this new equipment and hope you are too! If you have further questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
