The WI Competitive Cheer Club is a member of the Recreation & Wellbeing Sport Clubs program. It was formed as a student organization in 2008 in order to give cheerleaders the chance to continue competing, performing, and developing their skills throughout college. In 2012, it became UW-Madison’s official competitive cheerleading sport club.

Competitive Cheer Club is comprised of two performing squads, Red Squad and Black Squad. While both perform at various events around campus and in the Madison area, Black Squad also competes at a National level. The members have the opportunity to select which squad they’d like to be a part of based on commitment requirements. All experience levels are welcome.
