The University of Wisconsin Water Ski & Wakeboard team was created in the Spring of 1999 by water ski enthusiasts Timothy Marien, Mike Nowicki and Matt Clark. Since then, our team has established a large and respectable reputation in the sport of water skiing. We were voted the 2000 Collegiate Water Ski Team of the Year and have won many conference championships. The team was created with the objective of fielding a competitive collegiate team as well as providing a learning atmosphere for all skill levels. Since then, the team has achieved high level success. In 2008, we placed in 6th place at Nationals, the highest for a non-scholarship offering team. In 2009, we went on to win Division II Nationals. In 2010, we won the midwest regional tournament, ending Purdue’s eight year streak. Our team continually places highly in both our conference and our regional.
