The University of Wisconsin Water Ski & Wakeboard team was created in the Spring of 1999 by water ski enthusiasts Timothy Marien, Mike Nowicki, and Matt Clark. Since then, our team has established a large and respectable reputation in the sport of water skiing. We were voted the Collegiate Water Ski Team of the Year for the 2022 fall season and have won many conference and regional championships. The team was created with the objective of fielding a competitive collegiate team as well as providing a learning atmosphere for all skill levels. Since then, the team has achieved high levels of success and growth. This most recent season (fall 2022), we placed in 7th place at Division I Nationals, the highest for a non-scholarship offering team. This could not have been achieved without practice and determination. Practices begin as soon as the ice is off the lakes and ends around October when our tournament season comes to an end. Anyone is encouraged to come practice and even ski a tournament! Any and all skill levels are welcome.
