1. Parcourse Fitness Circuit
The Parcourse Fitness Circuit allows you to bring the gym outside with you! The Parcourse Fitness Circuit begins on the west side of the NAT and encircles the Far West fields. Eighteen stations are spread around the approximately 2.5 mile course. Incorporate as many of the stations as you want into your outdoor run!
2. Nielsen Tennis Courts
Want to play tennis, but it’s cold or rainy out? Get to the Indoor Nielsen Tennis Courts! You can find half-priced courts Monday-Thursday 11:45 am -1:30 pm. Two UW students can play singles for $2.50 each or four students can play doubles for only $1.25 each. Call (608) 262-0410 to reserve a court! Racquet rental is $2.

3. Special offers at the Shell Ice Rinks
Get an unlimited student skate membership for just $30 for the semester! Membership permits unlimited access to Rec Skate, Open Hockey, and Stick & Puck.
Also, be sure to check out late night skate at the Shell! Grab your friends and get on the ice from 11:15pm – 12:45am on Thursdays. $3 rink fee, $2 skate rentals.
4. Unique equipment at the PTC
The PTC offers unique workout equipment such a rig with squat racks and monkey bars, TRX, bosu balls and kettle balls, turf and more!
5. Cinema Spin
Movies so great you’ll forget you’re working out. Join us Thursday nights at the SERF at 8:45 for this medium intensity spin class set to your favorite films. Included in Group Fitness memberships, or a $5 drop in rate.

Rec Sports offers many fun and unique tournaments through Intramural Leagues. You can sign up as an individual free agent or with some friends.

9. Masters Swimming
Do you like to swim competitively, for fitness, or for triathlons? Masters Swimming offers high intensity training workouts with a practice plan and coaching.

11. Ping Pong table at the Shell
Take a break from your intense workout to engage in a rousing game of table tennis. Grab paddles at the equipment desk!
12. Plyo Boxes on the track
Plyometrics are a great routine to infuse into your workout. Box jumps combine cardio and strength with explosive movements, which help increase the strength and efficiency of the fast twitch fibers.
13. Punching Bags
Hitting a bag builds punching power, stamina, and can increase your metabolic rate for days afterward. This workout involves your legs as well as your arms to train the whole body, activating as much muscle as possible to burn the most calories.
14. Room 1065 at the Nat
This empty room is available for anyone to use for multipurpose workouts. Come to stretch, do yoga, do body weight or core workouts, or have your own workout class.
15. Reserve a Group Fitness Trainer
Arrange a private group fitness class for your group. We offer private group fitness classes for UW student organizations, UW residence halls and UW departments. Request a class in our facilities (internal event) or in a space provided by your group (external event).
